The Riverside Sustainability Council is a group of interested Riverside residents dedicated to open exchange of ideas regarding environmental sustainability. We facilitate forums to enhance dialogue and collaboration between private, civic, educational, commercial, and governmental stakeholders and coordinate on-going and new sustainability efforts. In raising the community’s awareness about the importance of protecting the environment, we advocate for personal and community wide changes in use of resources.
Goals
- Create growing coalition of interested community members to advance more sustainable Riverside.
- Develop and maintain community-wide list of sustainable initiatives currently offered or considered in Riverside.
- Identify effective sustainable initiatives implemented by other communities and/or groups.
- Coordinate civic, governmental, commercial, and educational sustainability efforts and facilitate adoption of those ideas community-wide.
